Police said one person was killed and one was injured when an SUV and motorcycle collided in Whiteside County, Illinois.
The crash was reported at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 on Illinois Route 40 about a half-mile east of Ridge Road.
Police said a westbound SUV struck a westbound motorcycle.
Coleta Fire Department and Whiteside County deputies worked the crash.
Two people were taken by ambulance to an area hospital. One of those people was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The names of the people involved were withheld until family members could be notified by police.
