Police say burglars stole gas cans from a dozen homes in Mediapolis, Iowa in a span of just three days.
The gas cans were stolen from yards, garages and motor vehicles at 12 addresses in Mediapolis from May 28 to May 30, 2012.
The area where the burglaries happened is bordered by North Street on the north and Maple on the south, and includes Main, Middle and Pine streets. It is bordered by Harrison on the east and Green Acres on the west and includes Washington and Andrew streets.
No other property damage was reported at the victim locations.
