New precinct and district boundaries mean many Iowa voters will see their polling places changed for 2012 primary and general elections.
Polls are open statewide from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the June 5, 2012 primary election in Iowa .
Iowans who are eligible to vote are allowed to register to vote on election day. To qualify to register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, an Iowa resident and 18 years old by election day. Prospective voters who want to register on election day must appear at the polling place that correlates to his/her home address, complete an application, make a written oath and provide proof of identity and residence.
