Deere & Company officials say they’ll invest $47 million to expand manufacturing at its cylinder operations facility in Moline, Illinois.
The company builds hydraulic cylinders for its equipment at the Moline facility.
“Market demand has remained strong for John Deere products and this initiative improves our capability to meet that market demand,” said Mark Von Pentz, president of Deere’s Worldwide Agriculture & Turf division.
An announcement about the expansion said no jobs will be added as a direct result of the investment.
The expansion will include upgrades in machining tools at the facility but the size of the building will not be expanded.
