UPDATED:  A golfer hit a hole-in-one worth $10,000 at the Dove Women's Golf Tournament Friday, June 1.

Sharon Kundel gets $10,000 cash to use toward a new car at Lujack's after her winning hole-in-on on the par 3, 13th hole at Palmer Hills Golf Course in Bettendorf. 

"Sharon says she bought her club last night and the hole-in-one was only the third time she had used the club today," said Family Resources spokesman Ken Gullette.

On Friday, June 1st, 2012, 144 women from around the Quad Cities hit the links to raisemoney for domestic violence awareness programs and shelters in our communities.

The 2012 DOVE Women's Golf Tournament is a benefit for Family Resources Domestic Violence Shelter. It takes place every year at Palmer Hills Golf Course in Davenport and includes a shotgun start golf tournament, a luncheon, prizes, and a speaker who shares their domestic violence survivor story.

Family Resources is also asking people to "Fill the Truck" on June 23rd at area HyVee grocery stores. You can find more information about the event at http://www.famres.org/.
