DAVENPORT, Iowa -- As the holiday weekend wraps up, another traffic tie-up awaits drivers in Davenport on Tuesday, May 29th, 2012.
After the morning rush hour, River Drive will be shut down from Iowa Street to Oneida Avenue. The nearly one-mile stretch will be closed until late July as crews resurface the road. The $2.36 million project also includes repairing and replacing Iowa American Water mains as well as storm and sanitary sewer lines.
City officials say detours will be posted. They recommend using Locust Street to get around the construction project.
