The Honor Flight of the Quad Cities marked its 19th trip to Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012 and also opened a new chapter in the four-year-old organization.

Today's trip is the first designated for Korean War era veterans in the Quad City area. The transition from World War II veterans to Korean War era veterans began in 2012 and will continue for the year's third and fourth Honor Flights on September 20th and November 1st.

Nearly 100 veterans went on Tuesday's flight. To hear from one veteran, click the video above.

Bob Morrison, Founder of the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities, says World War II veterans will still get first priority on every trip. For more information, go to www.honorflightqc.com and also click the video below.
