New construction projects starting Monday, May 21, 2012 could make it a little tougher for you to get from place to place.

Davenport

Work on a storm sewer will close Gaines Street between Locust and Lombard streets in Davenport, Iowa.  This will impact access to parking lots and to the west side of the St. Ambrose University campus.  The work is scheduled to be complete Monday, June 11.

Also in Davenport, North Harrison Street will be closed between Research Parkway and 90th Street for reconstruction.  That project is expected to take about two months to complete.

Rock Island

Work on River Drive under the Arsenal Overpass means motorists taking the Arsenal exit to River Drive will not be allowed to turn left, or eastbound, onto River Drive starting Monday, May 21.  The Arsenal exit to River Drive will be limited to right turns only onto westbound River Drive.  A marked detour will be in place for drivers trying to access the I-74 Bridge.  The detour, using the 14th Street exit, will be in place for one week.

Dixon, Iowa

Workers will remove and replace an overhead sign truss over Interstate 88 east of Old Route 2 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.  All westbound traffic will be stopped for four 15-minute intervals during the work hours.
