Former Davenport man sentenced in child porn case
A 23-year-old man formerly of Davenport, Iowa was sentenced May 18, 2012 to more than ten years in prison for receiving and distributing child pornography.
Prosecutors said Jay Eugene Dietz lived with in Davenport before relocating to St. Joseph, Missouri.
Investigators identified an internet protocol (IP) address, corresponding to Dietz’s Davenport home, from which child pornongraphy was shared.
When they searched his St. Joseph home, investigators found a computer containing child pornongraphy as well as “additional child pornography” there.
In addition to serving 150 months in prison, Dietz was ordered to serve five years of supervised release and to pay $100 to the Crime Victims Fund.
