UPDATE: Manchester Murder Suspect Found, Charged With Murder

Police say they’ve found a Manchester, Iowa teen accused of killing his grandparents.

UPDATE as of 7:30am, May 15th, 2012 -- Police say they've found a Manchester, Iowa teen accused of killing his grandparents.

17-year-old Isaiah Sweet was found around 7:00pm Monday, May 14th, 2012 during a search in Cedar Rapids. Police say he was spotted near some railroad tracks and attempted to run away, but was caught.

Sweet is now charged with two counts of first degree murder.

Neighbors in Manchester say a relative found two bodies when they showed up for a Mother's Day party on Sunday, May 13th, 2012. The victims are 62-year-old Janet Sweet and 55-year-old Richard Sweet.

Police say Sweet told a friend he killed his grandparents by drugging them.

EARLIER STORY -- The search is on for a 17-year-old person of interest in connection with a double murder in Manchester, Iowa.

Family members found the bodies of two people inside a home in the 100 block of Dean Drive in Manchester at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2012.  Both victims were deceased and police are calling their deaths homicides. 

Manchester is in Delaware County.

The identities of the two victims were not yet released.

Isaiah Sweet, 17, is a “person of interest” in the case according to police.  Anyone with information about Sweet or his whereabouts is asked to contact Manchester Police at (563) 927-3355.
