Hundreds of runners laced up their shoes in Moline, Illinois for a chance at running glory in the Quad Cities Distance Classic Half-Marathon and 5K.
Perfect weekend weather just added to the great day.
More than 800 runners took part in both races, which started at Augustana College and wound along parts of the Mississippi River.
As a special treat for Mother’s Day, flowers were handed out at the finish line.
Kelley Timmerman, 47, of Geneseo, Illinois won the women’s half-marathon. Samuel Bailin, 23, of Iowa City, Iowa won the men’s division of the half-marathon.
