Husband arrested trying to bail out wife

A man accused of dealing narcotics in Bureau County, Illinois was arrested when he inquired about his arrested wife’s bail.

Police said Eva Hopson, 26, was arrested as she drove to work Tuesday, May 8, 2012.  She is reportedly charged with felony unlawful delivery of clonazepam, a controlled substance.

When Hopson’s husband, Justin Hopson, showed up at the Bureau County Jail to ask about Eva’s bail, he was also arrested.

Police said Justin Hopson, 32, was charged with felony unlawful delivery of psilocybin mushrooms, a controlled substance.

The Hopsons allegedly sold narcotics to a Tri-Dent (Tri-county Drug Enforcement Narcotic Team) agent and a person working with Tri-Dent at multiple locations in Bureau County.

Eva and Justin Hopson were held in the Bureau County Jail.
