Former Dixon, Illinois comptroller Rita Crundwell faced reporters after entering a not-guilty plea in federal court May 7, 2012.
She was indicted May 1 and is accused of embezzling more than $53 million from the town since 1996.
A new Facebook page supporting Ms. Crundwell was also launched Monday, May 7.
