Police pursue suspects in vehicle and on foot after Moline robbery

A store manager and police reportedly chased alleged suspects after Title Cash at 3146 Avenue of the Cities was robbed.

A store manager and police reportedly chased alleged suspects after Title Cash at 3146 Avenue of the Cities was robbed.

It happened at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012.  Witnesses told police two men used a small black handgun to rob the store.  There were no reports of injuries or of shots fired.

The store manager reportedly chased the suspects when they ran from the store on foot.  The suspects reportedly then got into a gray late-model minivan near 34th Street and 12th Avenue.

A witness helped police locate the possible suspects by reporting the number on the temporary license tags on the minivan.  Those tags came back to an East Moline address.

Police said they found the minivan about 20 minutes after the robbery.  The van was parked behind the Little Brown Jug in the 1300 block of 18th Avenue in East Moline.

Police said suspects ran from the van on foot.

Three people were reportedly taken into police custody near 13th Street and 15th Avenue.  Police continued to search the area and a home there for a fourth suspect.
