“We’ve got some great activities!” announced Erin Haluska to a crowd of moms and kids gathered at the Chick-fil-a in Davenport. This is a Monday Morning Meet-up. Mothers grab their kiddos for a few hours of fun. The mothers enjoy some adult conversation while the kids catch up with friends.
“I’m gonna play with Hannah,” said Evie.
“Jaylynn… Ethan and Drew,” Emma counted her friends on her fingers.
” I like playing,” remarks Evie.
” You get to wake up and have breakfast! ” said Emma as she wiped the cinnamon roll icing off of her cheek.
You do not have to be able to walk, or talk, or even crawl to enjoy this gathering.
“He’s not quite sure what’s going on yet but he knows he likes seeing Leah,” said Carrie Peterson of her youngest toddler.
“It’s nice for them to get out and socialize and it’s nice for myself to get our and have adult conversations with other moms who are doing the same things that I’m doing,” she said.
If you want to know exactly what they are up to just ask the kids!
“Bubbles, balloons, and we’re gonna find some flowers,” said Evie.
There is no doubt these moms enjoyed some extra free time during nap time.
