A man from Altona, Illinois died after the truck he was driving crashed Sunday morning, April 15, 2012.
Police said the single-unit truck was southbound on Lyndon Road at Spring Valley Road in Whiteside County, Illinois, when the truck overturned in a curve. The truck then slid on its side into a ditch along the road, where the truck landed on its top.
Police said the driver of the truck, 49-year-old Jeffrey Flicek of Altona, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Flicek was alone in his truck and no other vehicles were involved.
