Five-year-old takes heroin to school

A five-year-old Connecticut boy reportedly got the heroin he took to “show and tell” from his stepfather.

A five-year-old Connecticut boy reportedly got the heroin he took to “show and tell” from his stepfather.

The Connecticut Post reports the child took 50 packets of heroin to show his kindergarten classmates at school Monday, April 9, 2012.

When it was his turn, the boy reportedly showed ten small plastic bags inside his stepfather’s jacket he brought to class.

The teacher quickly grabbed the bags away from the child, told the principal, and police were called.

When the stepfather showed up at the school to search for the boy, he found the jacket but no drugs.  Cops already had them.  The stepdad was arrested.

Santos Roman, 35, was held on $100,000 bond.  The boy was placed in protective custody.

The drugs reportedly had a street value of about $500.
