According to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s, the bridge-widening project on 53rd Street over Interstate 74 (exit 1) in Bettendorf has resumed.
Lane width restriction on I-74 will be in place for this project until early July, weather permitting.
Bridge construction work on 53rd Street over I-74 will also cause lane restrictions between Utica Ridge Road and Elmore Avenue in Davenport until late December. Two lanes will be open to traffic during the day and one lane only during nighttime hours.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution and obey postings while driving through construction zones.
