A 29-year-old Davenport man was sentenced to more than five years in prison for conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

Prosecutors said Justo Lopez Jr. was sentenced April 6, 2012 to 65 months in prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release.

Lopez pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute at least five kilograms of cocaine in 2010.  Police said they conducted several controlled buys from Lopez.  When they served search warrants at Lopez’s home and at the home of his associate, police said they found drugs, money, drug paraphernalia and a drug ledger.

Investigators said Lopez received one kilogram of cocaine a week from a source in Chicago.  Police said Lopez distributed at least 32 kilograms, equivalent to just over 70.5 pounds, of cocaine in 2010.
