Moline Police say they arrested two brothers for alleged armed robbery after one of them returned to get handgun dropped during the crime.

Police were sent to a reported armed robbery in the 1300 block of 15th Street in Moline on March 28, 2012.

After police arrived, one of the suspects reportedly returned to the scene of the crime to retrieve a handgun dropped during the alleged robbery.  That’s when he was arrested.

Leonard Lyle, 27, was booked into the Rock Island County Jail and charged with armed robbery, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a defaced firearm.

Police then got arrest warrants for Leonard’s brother, 25-year-old Eric Lyle, seeking the same set of charges against Eric.

Both men were held in the Rock Island County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond each.
