After taking over designing NFL uniforms and gear, Nike unveiled the new official uniforms for all 32 NFL teams.

The presentation happened at a fashion show, of sorts, at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Paul Lukas of ESPN.com says the changes don’t appear to be major, and that the biggest change appears to be on the collars.   Flywire collars are added to help prevent stretching.

The league prohibits NFL teams from redesigning their uniforms more than once every five years, and the teams have the final say on any changes.

USA Today reports the biggest change was to the Seattle Seahawks uniforms, with a more aggressive-looking hawk and darker blue jerseys.

Nike takes over as the official NFL uniform designer this year.  Reebok previously handled outfitting the NFL.

The updated uniforms and other NFL gear goes on sale to the public on NFL draft weekend.  The 2012 NFL draft is April 26 through April 28.

Nike’s website calls the new gear “the most advanced uniform in sports history”, and the site says you can pre-order the new game jerseys April 15 with other versions of the jerseys available April 27 and later in the summer.

Prices for the new official jerseys range from $100 to $250.
