Davenport, Iowa Police said a Domino’s Pizza store clerk lied when she reported the store was robbed.

At about 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, 27-year-old Genie Olson told police the Domino’s Pizza at 1900 Brady Street was robbed.   Olson was reportedly working at the store at the time of the robbery.

Investigators said they “noted certain inconsistencies in statements made by the clerk”.

Surveillance video also did not support statements given to police by Olson.

Investigators interviewed Olson again the next day and she admitted the robbery did not happen.

Olson was cited for filing a false police report.  She was released pending a court appearance.

Police said the alleged stolen money was recovered.  The amount of money involved was not disclosed.
