A Biggsville, Illinois man died when the motorcycle he was riding crossed the center line and hit a tractor-trailer on a Henderson County road.
Police said they responded to the crash on U.S. Route 34 east of Carman Blacktop just after noon Wednesday, March 14, 2012.
Police said the 53-year-old motorcyclist was eastbound on U.S. Route 34 when he crossed over the center line and struck the trailer tandem tires on an westbound tractor pulling a flatbed trailer.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospital where he died.
The truck driver, a 59-year-old Dubuque, Iowa man, was not hurt.
The name of the motorcyclist had not yet been released.
