Eagles have eggs on local nests

UPDATED:  Eagles are nesting in and near the Quad Cities, and some are streaming live so you can watch!

A third egg appeared at the nest at Alcoa in Davenport, Iowa on Friday, February 17, 2012.  The first egg appeared Saturday, February 11 just before 3 p.m. and the second egg appeared February 14.  Liberty and Justice take turns incubating the eggs.

There were also two eggs in the nest at Lock & Dam 13 in Fulton.  A Facebook page dedicated to updates on that nest says a third egg disappeared shortly after it was laid in the nest February 10, 2012.

The first egg appeared in the nest near the DNR hatchery at Decorah, Iowa on Friday, February 17, 2012.  A second egg was visible on that nest Tuesday, February 21.

In 2011, the first egg was laid in the nest there on February 23.
