Men get prison for dealing marijuana in Davenport

Three Davenport, Iowa men will spend nearly three years in prison after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute 180 pounds of marijuana.

Three Davenport, Iowa men will spend nearly three years in prison after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute 180 pounds of marijuana.

Prosecutors said Steven Ashby, 51; Raymond Standafer, 33 and Nicholas Tacker, 36, were involved with several other people in a conspiracy to deal marijuana in the Davenport area.  The men picked up loads of marijuana in Rockford, Illinois and returned to Davenport to sell it.

The three men were prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Iowa.

Ashby and Standafer were each sentenced Thursday, February 23, 2012 to 33 months in prison.  Tacker was sentenced to 30 months in prison.
