Man dead after Moline hit-and-run

Moline Police say a man found in an alley died after he was the victim of an apparent hit-and-run crash.

Police were called to an alley in the 2400 block of 16th Street Wednesday, February 22, 2012 just after 8:30 p.m.  They arrived to find a man in the alley.

Police say the man had been struck by a vehicle.

The man was taken by ambulance to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity had not yet been released.

Police said the possible suspect vehicle is a white or light-colored SUV-type vehicle.
