Police say they’ve made an arrest in connection with an alleged hit-and-run that killed a Moline, Illinois man.
Stephen Smith, 31, of Rock Island, Illinois, was arrested and booked into the Rock Island County Jail. He is accused of driving a vehicle that struck and killed 44-year-old Matthew Pohl. Police said Smith then left the scene of the crash.
Pohl was found in an alley in the 2400 block of 16th Street just after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012.
Moline Police said Smith is charged with reckless homicide.
