The Rock Island County Board voted to approve pay raises for the county's union employees.
Details of the three union contracts were discussed in a closed session during Tuesday's meeting.
The wage hike was approved by the board in a vote of 11 to 9. The three year deal increases pay by two percent.
Unions represent most of the county's 8-hundred workers. Non-union employees also got a raise approved this year, but it was slightly higher at 3.85 percent.
