Pay raises approved for Rock Island County workers
The Rock Island County Board voted to approve pay raises for the county’s union employees.
Details of the three union contracts were discussed in a closed session during Tuesday’s meeting.
The wage hike was approved by the board in a vote of 11 to 9. The three year deal increases pay by two percent.
Unions represent most of the county’s 8-hundred workers. Non-union employees also got a raise approved this year, but it was slightly higher at 3.85 percent.
