Davenport woman faces arson charge

Christine Rhodes is charged with arson in connection with a Davenport apartment fire.

DAVENPORT, Iowa—A Davenport woman was charged with arson in connection with an apartment fire that happened in early February.

Christine Rhodes, 55, was arrested Wednesday, February 15, 2012.  She was held in the Scott County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash-only bond.

Rhodes is accused of setting a fire that burned one apartment and sent damaging smoke throughout the building of an apartment in the 1700 block of Winding Hills Road on February 7, 2012.

She is formally charged with one count of first-degree arson.  She was appointed a public defender and is next scheduled to be in court February 20, 2012.

Jail records indicate Rhodes also goes by Christine Morgan and Christine Martel.
