Kevin Murphy, 55, was arrested and booked into the Scott County Jail just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012. He was charged with violating an order of protection.
Murphy was released from jail on his own recognizance just before 10 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012.
Hours later, he was back in jail.
Jail records show Murphy was again arrested Thursday, February 9, 2012 and booked into the Scott County Jail just before 3:30 p.m.
In that case, Murphy was charged with one count of felony first-degree burglary and two counts of felony stalking.
Scott County Jail records showed Murphy was held on $100,000 cash-only bond in connection with the case.
Court records show the order of protection was filed in January 2012.
On a separate date in January, Murphy was also charged with misdemeanor public intoxication in Scott County.
Several sources indicated Murphy was a member of the Davenport, Iowa Police Department for 23 years. He retired from the department in October 2011.
