Geneseo Police confirmed Wednesday, August 3, 2011 that Kristin Holzman has been arrested and charged with felony theft. She is being held at the Henry County Jail in Cambridge.
The Henry County State’s Attorney is expected to go over her charges Thursday morning, when more information will be released.
Holzman has been the center of an investigation in Geneseo for several weeks after she claimed to have an inoperable brain tumor. At least five benefits were held for Holzman that raised $10,000.
In July a complaint was made to the Geneseo Police Department. The complaint questions where some of that money was going.
Holzman planned to leave Geneseo and move near the Chicago area this week.
