SILVIS, Ill.—Steve Stricker made history when he became the first golfer to win the John Deere Classic three years in a row.

PGA rookie Kyle Stanley, 22, made Stricker earn the win.  Stricker edged Stanley by just one stroke.

Stricker finished his final round at 69 Sunday, July 10, 2011.   He finished the tournament at 22 under par.

He capped it all off with an amazing putt from 25 feet out.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa native Zach Johnson did not disappoint.  The Quad City favorite finished tied for third on the leader board, shooting 17 under par on the weekend.

Johnson had just one bogey over the entire weekend.  He took home more than $250,000 for his work.

Other notable finishes include Davis Love III who ended up at 13 under and tied for 12th place.  Oquawka native Todd Hamilton finished 11 under par and tied for 22nd place.  University of Illinois alum D.A. Points was nine under on the weekend and Jason Day, who sprinted his final round and finished it in just under two hours, shot -2 on the weekend.
